1. About this policy
Emerald Games, LLC, doing business as SkillPoint ("SkillPoint," "we," "us") runs a gaming and e-sports venue for children and teens ages 8 to 18 at 2050 Marshall Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota. -
What we do not collect: [Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, or full bank account numbers, unless needed for a specific purpose that we will explain.]
-
What you can leave blank: the health section of the Information Form is voluntary, though it helps us respond properly.

What we do not do
-
We do not sell personal information about children or parents.
-
We do not share children's information for third-party advertising.
-
We do not post a child's full name, school or contact information publicly.
4. Children's information and parent rights
Skill Point's gaming leagues are designed for children ages 8 to 18. Because some participants are under 13, we follow the federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and apply the same care to teens.
Parental consent
-
We collect personal information from a child under 13 online, or through an online account or tool, only after a parent has given consent through the Children's Data Consent in Section 6.
-
Parents enter or approve children's information. Children under 13 do not create their own accounts with us.
-
Consent covers only what the consent form describes. We will ask again before we use
-
information in a new way.
-
Parents may agree to the necessary use of information for visits and safety, and may decline optional uses, such as photos, marketing and leaderboards, without affecting participation.
Parent rights
A parent may, at any time:
-
Review the information we hold about their child, and ask who we have shared it with
-
Correct information that is wrong
-
Delete their child's information, subject to what we must keep for safety, legal or insurance reasons
-
Stop further collection or use of their child's information, which may limit what the child can do at Skill Point
-
Withdraw consent for optional uses such as photos or marketing
To make a request, contact us as Section 5 explains. We will confirm who is asking, and will respond within [30] days. We will not require a child to share more information than needed in order to take part.
Teens and adults
Parents of participants aged 13 to 17 have the same rights while the participant is a minor. A participant who turns 18 may manage their own information, and we will ask them to confirm their consent.
5. Security, retention, website, contact and changes
-
Security. We use reasonable safeguards, including: locked storage for paper forms, password-protected systems, limited staff access, and secure service providers. Health and pick-up information is available only to staff who need it. No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
-
How long we keep it. We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, and for safety, legal, tax and insurance reasons. As a general rule: registration and contact information for 1 year after a family's last visit; incident reports and waivers for 2 years, or longer where the law or our insurer requires; payment records as the law requires; photos as the Photo and Media Release states. After that we delete or de-identify it, and securely shred paper records.
-
Our website. Our website uses cookies and similar tools to keep it working and understand use. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking tools on pages designed for children. Links to other sites are not covered by this policy.
-
Online games and platforms. Third-party games and platforms used at Skill Point have their own privacy practices. Our staff set up accounts used at Skill Point, and parents should review the terms of any platform their child uses.
-
Cameras. We use security cameras in public areas, not in restrooms or changing areas. Footage is kept for about 7 days and shared only for safety, legal or insurance reasons.
-
Contact us. To ask a question, make a request about your child's information, or raise a privacy concern, contact Colin Perkins, Owner at colin@skillpointgaming.com, 651-815-2296 or 2050 Marshall Avenue, St. Paul MN 55104.
